External auditor
Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) is the external auditor of OPRA.
The external auditor is appointed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM also determines the external auditor’s fees.
In line with current rules and regulations in Norway and the European Union, the external auditor must be independent of the company to ensure that the external auditor is capable of exercising objective and impartial judgement on all issues encompassed in the engagement.
The Board of Directors ensures that the external auditor is not engaged in providing services that could potentially lead to conflicts of integrity and questions about independence.
In the AGM the Board of Directors will present documentation of the external auditor’s compensation split between services in relation to the mandatory audit and compensation associated with other services.
