CEO and Executive Management Team

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company. 

The responsibilities of the CEO are defined in the Norwegian Public Limited Companies Act § 6 – 2 and include:

  • Develop and propose the main strategy for OPRA’s business and ensure that it is approved by the Board of Directors
  • Implement the approved strategy
  • Carry out the work in accordance with guidelines and instructions issued by the Board of Directors
  • Ensure that the resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried out
  • Manage the company on a day-to-day basis
  • Represent the company externally in matters that form part of day-to-day management of the Company
  • Ensure that the operations of the Company is carried out in accordance with appliccable laws, regulations and high ethical standards
  • Ensure that the Company's financial statements are in accordance with existing Norwegian legislation and regulations and other relevant laws
  • Ensure that the assets of the Company are soundly managed
  • Ensure that the Board of Directors receives information about the Company’s activities and financial position at least every month

The operations of OPRA are co-ordinated through the Executive Management Team.  The Executive Management Team is chaired by the CEO and meets regularly, at least once a month, and as required.
